From August 22 through October 24, the cabins are available for rental on a nightly basis. This is a very special time of the year in Jackman, Maine, as summer comes to a close and the fall foliage becomes nothing short of spectacular. The days are usually in the 60s and 70s, and the nights cool off nicely, usually giving us our first few frosts. The foliage usually peaks in late September or early October.

Fishing enthusiasts find that the water temperatures cool down and the fish become more active during September. Fly fishing in the Moose River can be an exhilarating experience. Canoeists and kayakers enjoy the quiet beauty of this off-season period. Hikers will find the temperatures most pleasant for hikes up the local mountain tops. With reduced prices and increased quiet/solitude, this season is very special indeed!
